Join as a Library Member

To join the library, click here to complete and submit the online membership application form – please note you have to be over 18 years of age to join the Library. Applicants below the age of 18 will be asked to provide parent/guardian consent.  Applicants need to be a resident of Western Australia.

Library membership is FREE.  The Saint John Henry Newman Library provides a variety of resources and services for the different groups within our community including:

  • CEWA Staff
  • Clergy and members of religious orders
  • Parish Workers (incl. Catechists)
  • Catholic Agencies
  • Tertiary Students (enrolled in an Religious Education associated course)
  • Tertiary Teaching Staff
  • General Public (all residents of Western Australia who are above 18 years of age)

Please note that personal information given to the Library is subject to the Commonwealth Privacy Act and is not used for any purpose other than membership.

Loan Conditions 

Number of Loans

  • Books/Audio books: 10 (up to 6 on one subject)
  • Audiovisual materials: 12 items
  • Print journals: 3 items

Loan Periods

Books/Audio books/Audiovisual materials: 60 days

Overdues
Overdue notices are issued fortnightly and then invoices will be sent for unreturned items.  Notices will usually be sent by email.
